Beacon Lough and Wrekenton has been selected to receive up to £20 million of funding and support over the next decade through the Pride in Place Programme.
£20 million will be invested in Beacon Lough and Wrekenton over the next 10 years. This funding will improve high streets, spaces, facilities and infrastructure.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest for local people to join the Beacon Lough & Wrekenton Neighbourhood Board.
The Neighbourhood Board was set up in April 2026 and we are seeking more Board members to drive forward Pride in Place in Beacon Lough & Wrekenton. Board Members should work, live or volunteer in Beacon Lough or Wrekenton. Or have a deep connection to the area.
